There is sometimes a perception that people who work in science and engineering are geeky geniuses with poor social skills (thanks Sheldon Cooper!), but the reality is that there are men and women working in STEM who have all kinds of diverse backgrounds and personalities - who defy this stereotype!

People just like you and me are working in STEM in Ireland today, changing our world and making a difference to people's lives.

The best way to see that science and technology isn't scary, is to try it out for yourself - and if you are a parent or teacher - to encourage students to experience STEM for themselves and be inspired.

Explore our teacher and parent resources in the 'Resources' drop down menu in the navigation bar. Companies interested in getting involved should visit the 'Volunteer' section in the Resources area also.
