Tech Week 2017 is next week (22nd-28th April) and there are loads of events available for students, teachers and even some family fun events!
The main events!!
Over 100 students from 8-18 years will compete in this second round which is an island-wide event, with competitors from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It will take place in NUI Maynooth, Saturday 22nd April from approx. 11am-2pm.
The top 30 projects that qualify through from the Scratch National Competition have been invited to attend the National Final. Some further info here.
In conjunction with Tech Week this Workshop will look into the implementation of the ICT Curriculum into primary and secondary schools. Wednesday April 26th 1-4.30pm
Missing Maps brings together volunteers to help build digital maps of areas around the globe which may be in crisis or vulnerable to disaster. Having accurate digital maps allows organisations to plan and respond better in emergencies.
It is no problem if you have never mapped before - it doesn't take long to learn and no prior skills are required. Thursday April 27th 2-3.30pm.
